Item - Vintage Single Wood (Ash?) Oar, Circa 1950s; ideal as spare or for home decoration. Single Oars can be used as decoration within the home or garden and make unusual talking points in the bathroom or as curtain poles around the home; they can also be used outside in the garden stood up, attached to a wall, etc... to give that nautical theme.
Maker - Unkown
Marks - No stamps as such but is engraved to the blade with STARR, there also appears to be intials very faintly enngraved to the handle; most likely that this oar was used on a public boating lake
Circa - 1950s (possibly a little earlier)
Construction - Wood (Ash?) and complete with original metal strap and leather, though this has dried out somewhat and pulled away from its original nails (please see all photos)
Country of Origin - England
Dimensions - 6 foot 6" in length (5" wide at blade), handle diameter 5"
Weight - 1.5 kilo
Condition - Very Good Used Condition, nice and rustic (please see all photos)
