Vintage Medical Quack Therapy Shocking Coil or Faradic Battery, Circa 1920/30s

This is a rather intresting quack medical item, known as a Electro-Medical Shocking Coil or a Faradic Battery, Circa 1920/30s. This a rather nice example with switch control for the primary and secondary currents, a large coil with central brass core for adjusting resistance all incased in a stained mahogany wooden case finished to the top with a very sturdy brass handle. The Faradic Battery also comes complete with its original hand-held Electrodes, this were held or placed on the finger of the patient so a light electrical discharge could be passed through the body, this at the time was believed to cure many aliments and illnesses. The Faradic Battery measures 9.75" by 4.75", with a height of 9" and is in Excellent Used Conditon, though not tested (Please Refer to Photos).
