This is a fantastic Large Leaf Dish from the 'Eden' collection designed by Lars Hellsten and made by Orrefors of Sweden, circa 1970s in Original Box. The large dish also comes complete with original printed leaflet. The Eden Collection was Designed by Lars Hellsten Lars Hellsten (b.1933) studied at the college of Arts, Crafts and design in Stockholm before coming to Orrefors in 1972. Besides Eden, a service inspired by nature, he is also the designer behind such collections as Corona, Odyssey, Neptunus, the heart-shaped Amour and My Heart. Nature clearly inspires his art glass too, including many grand pieces well suited to public spaces. His glass is Characteristically massive and forceful, whether it be cast, mould-blown or free-blown. He is curently celebrating his 30-year association with Orrefors with a major exhibition at the Orrefors Gallery in Stockholm, Sweden. The Large Dish measure approx 12.5" in diameter, 1.5" in height and is in Excellent Used Conditon, with no chips or cracks, appearing to have little or no use at all. The Box measures 13.5" by 13", with a depth of 2" and is in Very Good Condition, with just slight rubbing to the edges (Please refer to photos).
