Vintage Elvgren Cuties Pin-Up Playing Cards Brown & Bigelow, Cordon & Co Ad 1950s

This is a fantastic unused double deck of vintage playing cards made by Brown & Bigelow (Redislip), called “Elvgren’s Cuties,” featuring pin-up backs designed by Gil Elvgren in Original Plastic Case complete with original packing slip, Circa 1950s; the cards also feature an advertisment for C.Cordon & Company of Hong Kong. The top of the red plastic case is printed with the details HAVING A "BANG-UP TIME" WITH ELVGREN CUTIES and the advertisment  P.T. CHEN MANAGING DIRECTOR C. CORDON & Co. (H.K.) LTD, this also printed to the lower part of the backs of the cards. The Backs of the cards are printed with pin-ups, with one of the decks, showing an Elvgren girl that has fallen to the ice while skating, which is an Elvgren painting titled “A-Cute Injury,” in which Elvgren’s model was Myrna Hansen, who went on shortly thereafter to become Miss Universe, with that painting dating to 1953, the second deck shows another of Elvgren’s models lighting a roman candle firework. Inside the case there is a cardboard insert which divides the two decks, this is printed with a short poem as follows :

Playing with fire and slipping on ice

Is risky business, though the view is nice.

Yet Elvgren’s gals in all their prime

Are bound to have a bang-up time.”

Each deck is complete with 52 cards and 2 Jokers and also comes complete with original 'REDI-SLIP' packing slip (Please see all Photos) The Playing Cards are standard size and measure 3.5" by 2.25" and are in Excellent Conditon, appearing to have little or no use.
