Vintage Early Japanese Open Frame Corkscrew Made in Japan, Circa 1950s

This is a early example of a Japanese Open Frame Corkscrew with roll over locking collar and half wood handle, Circa 1950s. The Corkscrew is stamped JAPAN to the body and is based on a German patent corkscrew. The Corkscrew is easy to use, start with the handle locked over the top, line the bottom of the corkscrew up with the rim of the bottle, and screw into cork clockwise, once in deep enough lift collar over centre screw thread and continue to screw the handle clockwise and hey presto the cork will be removed simply and effortlessly into the frame (Please see all Photos). The Corkscrew measures 5.5" in length, 3.25" across handle and is in Excellent Used Conditon and full working order.
