Vintage CWS Crumpsall & Cardiff Copyright Biscuit Tin The Farrier Farriery Horses Circa 1920/30s

This is a hard to find unusual shaped vintage tin depicting a farrier at work surrounded by animals to the lid; the tin once contained CWS Biscuits, Circa 1920-30s and was made by Barringer Wallis & Manners Ltd of Mansfield. The front and rear of the tin are printed with the image of a large dog and a west highland terrier surrounded by wooden casket type design. The base of the tin is stamped out with the details - C.W.S BISCUITS CRUMPSALL & CARDIFF, the tin also features the word COPYRIGHT, to protect the design and the tin box makers details as follows - B. W. & M. LTD. MANSFIELD No. 9456 MADE IN ENGLAND. (Please see all Photos) The Tin measures 6.25" by 4.75" (depth of 2.75") and is in Very Good Used Conditon, though there is some rubbing to the edge of the rim and also slight scratches to the main body (please refer to photos), all said and done a extremly hard to find example of a CWS tin.
