Condition - Excellent Used Condition, though one of the cufflinks faces has a small crack to the top left hand corner
Other Interesting Points - The Cufflinks are cast to the inside of the shank with the details METAL and PAT. 1,114,883; with the later refering to the patent granted to Stratton in 1970. The Laughing Cavalier was originally painted in Oils by Franz Hals (1584-1666). Hals was born in Flanders, and when a child moved to Haarlem, wherehe spent the remainder of his life, and his paintings are famous for their gaiety and colour. The cufflinks are a fantastic representation of the original oil painting in miniature; even having the detail AFTER FRANZ HALS and finished in real oils.
