Vintage Board BCM Game For Everyone PM Plus Minus in Box with Instructions, Circa 1930/40s

This is a simple and easy to play board game named 'Plus & Minus' 2-4 Player Outfit (a 2-8 player outfit was also available) made by B.C.M. of England, Circa 1930/40s; and comes complete with 4 Original Playing boards, 44 Playing Cards, 16 Wooden Playing Pieces, Instruction Booklet and Box; with all pieces in Excellent Condition though 2 of the wooden pieces have cracked with age. The game is so simple to play that the rules can be covered in one paragraph which in most cicumstances will be enough for anyone to play the game, any query can be easily settled by reference to the instruction booklet.

The Rules of Play - Each Player has a board and four men (playing pieces). The object is to move the four men from the stars at the top of the boardon to 25. Eleven cards are dealt to each Player. A player plays any card from his/her hand and adds the number on it to the number on the TOP CARD ONLY (i.e. the card that was played by the previous player) moving one of his/her men accordingly. Men driven over 25 return to stars and restart. The Minus cards are subtracted. This game was described at the time as - THE MOST INTRIGUING GAME EVER INVENTED, THE GAME EVERYONE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR FOR YEARS! and ABSORBING FOR THE ADULT INTERESTING & INSTRUCTIVE FOR THE CHILDREN (Please see all Photos) The Box of the Game measures 7.25" by 7.675", with a height of 1.75" and is in Excellent Used Condition apart from a small stain to the top left hand corner; the items within are also in Excellent Used Condition apart from the forementioned cracking to two of the playing pieces (Please Refer to Photos).
