This is a Vintage Plus Adding Machine made by the Bell Punch Company Limited of 39, ST. James St., London, England, Circa 1950s; the machine is in full mechanical working order though the top left hand key (5) has a small amount of damage. The Adding Machine has the Bell Punch Company Plate to the base with many details marked including Worldwide Patent Numbers (the latest UK being 1954), advertisments and the model number 909/F/95903, the casing is also stamped with the details - GUARANTEED MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. The rear of the green hammertone finished case has the makers brass plaque attached. This model features the "abbreviated-keyboard" and only has keys up to 5 in any column, so to enter a number greater than 5 two keys have to be presses one after the other. Since the fingers do not have to move far from one key to the next, there is not much time penalty in using this type of abbreviated machine. Bell Punch were the world's largest producer of "abbreviated" "Comptometer"-type calculators with the "Plus" range, which were cheaper, smaller, and lighter than full-keyboard machines as sometime seen. (Please see all photos). The Vintage Adding Machine measures 9.5" by 7.5" (approx 4.25" in height) and is in Very Good Used Conditon apart from the formentioned damaged key (Please refer to photos). There is a charge of £8.50 to all U.K. Residents for Postage & Packing (1st Class Mail), we will also ship worldwide but please contact by email for quote, if you have any questions please feel free to contact!
