Rare Vintage Antique Greener Pressed Fruit Bowl Prince & Princess of Wales Silver Wedding 1888 Reg N

This is a stunning antique pressed glass fruit bowl made by the glassmakers Greener & Company of Sunderland, England for the Silver Wedding of The Prince & Princess of Wales in 1888. The fruit bowl is pressed with the details - PRINCE & PRINCESS OF WALES' SILVER WEDDING BRITONS' HOPE & JOY, the bowl also features the coat of arms and two shields one with the date 1863 and the other 1888. The bowl is also marked with the Reg No. 91449, with this granted Registration number granted to Greener on the 11th January 1888. The fruit bowl also features a rather well known mistake of the Greener & Co. mould maker of the time (also found on the Silver Wedding Plates of the same date), who put an extra 's' into the Wales' making it "Wales's".  The mistake was soon discovered and quickly rectified, though the correction was done in such a haphazard way that the 's' can still be seen as a scratchy shadow on the corrected plates and on this bowl if you look carefully to the light (Please see all Photos). The Fruit Bowl measures 9" in diameter, 3" in height and is in Excellent Used Conditon with no chips or cracks and very little signs of use or age!! This fruit bowl from the Silver Wedding in 1888 are rare to find, and not as common as the plates, this is not your average souvenir wedding piece.
