Pub Barrel Stoneware Mead Container Cockington Forge Torquay, Circa 1950s

This is a miniature oval stoneware barrel that once contained Mead but is now empty, the front has a transfer printed image of COCKINGTON FORGE, TORQUAY, ENGLAND. The base of the container is stamped with the number 1558, possibly a shape or pattern number. The Mead Container measures 3.375" in height (2.25" in diameter at base) and is in Very Good Used Conditon, no chips or cracks to the main body; though the stopper is chipped (please refer to photos).
