Other Interesting Points - We believe that Omo was originally made under the Hudson & Knight name which was a subsidary of Lever Brothers and a consolidation led to the beginnings of Unilever. Omo was launched in 1954 and Blue Star Omo was introduced in March 1963; both no longer available apart from in Asia & Africa......There is also a bit of a urban myth/old wives tale that during the War ladies of the house would place this is the window to signify "On My Own" or "Old Man's Out" and even "Old Man's Overseas"; think what you want, but one thing is for sure it could have never happened during the War, as the Soap Powder was not introduced until 1954!
